Central New York Gifted Youth is dedicated to helping parents, guardians and educators support gifted youth in Central New York. We share local events of educational value, and links and articles on the topic of giftedness.
Team
Jennifer Roberts is a mother of two boys (one who has tested as gifted, and one who probably is) and a member of Mensa. She has a degree in architecture from the University at Buffalo and worked as a computer-aided designer in the hospitality industry before leaving her career to raise children. Jennifer founded Central New York Gifted Youth after realizing how weak New York State is on gifted education, and feeling overwhelmed about the prospect of meeting the needs of her boys with few personal resources and little help from the public school system. She hopes the website will raise awareness about gifted needs, connect parents and kids in Central New York, and help improve learning and education for all kids.
